 Next year in January, Los Straightjackets recorded their second CD which was titled ' Viva Los Straitjackets, in Los Angeles ' which was released in 1996 and has fourteen songs Pacifica, Lurking in the Shadows, Cavalcade, Tsunami!, Espionage, Nightmare in Monte Cristo, The Casbah, Brains and Eggs, Venturing Out, Swampfire, Lonely Apache, Lawnmower, Wrong Planet and Outta Gear.
In 1996 band got three nomination for the categories of Best Album Cover, Best Rock Album, and Best Group in the second Nashville Music Awards. Los Straightjackets in the same year on the NBC television came on the show Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
In January of 1997 Los Straitjackets along with Heartbreakers and Tom Petty gave performances at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The band was once again nominated for Nashville Music Awards ion the category of Best Instrumental Album. The group was once again seen on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in December and performed Sleigh Ride. They also embarked on their first overseas tour with dates in Spain.
The third CD of came in the year of 1999. the CD was titled 'The Velvet Touch of Los Straitjackets' and had twelve tracks Close to Champaign, Tempest , State Fair, Sterno, All That Glitters, Hornets Nest, Kawanga!, Tijuana Boots, Rockula, Tabouli, My Heart Will Go On, and Sing Sing Sing.
Los Straitjackets has been a very active band and tours a lot. In 2004 that gained international fans as they toured to many countries such as Germany, Holland, Spain, Belgium, and The UK
Over the years they released their music through CDs such as 'Tis The Season For Los Straitjackets', 'Damas Y Caballeros Los Straitjackets', 'Sing Along With Los Straitjackets' and more.
The latest CD by them have been 'Los Straitjackets Play Favorites'.
