Artist Biography - Love Hammers

 The members of the band are:
Marty Cassey – Vocals
Bobby Kourelis – Drums
Billy Sawilchik – Guitar
Dino Kourelis – Bass.
Singer Martin Cassey formed this band when he was 14 years old and is a cross between Axl Rose and Mick Jagger. Kourelis brothers reminds one of the early days of the rock n roll as they supervise the rhythmic section with a sex appeal. The guitarist Billy Sawilchik rips through the chords to make whole this powerful quartet.
"Murder on My Mind" - their latest release has sold over 8,000 copies independently till now. It sure epitomizes Lovehammers act as a provider of music - pure and sweet. The Murder' possess within itself the best combination of grunge and hard rock with punk. The music of the album is their pure adrenalin that runs through their musical veins.
Lovehammers could come up with its own rhythmic scores after the latest session with Steve Albini (Nirvana, Bush, Pixies). The band started their songwriting with "Vibe" and ever since continuously evolved.
Their pulsating stage performances are all about creativity, passion, energy and momentum that could be pushed in the right direction. Their music has been requested for various movies, prints, and television shows.
Their "The Tunnel" featured in " the Breakdown" , 2005 Motion Picture. The picture "Greener" features, "Say Your Sorry" . World Shidokan Championships on ESPN will have "This Town" as its theme song. The NBC series 'Starting over' had the song, " Let's get wasted" . The band could also be seen in the commercial for Commonwealth Edison regional television. These rock stars have also been featured in the cover of the magazine like: SOAK, Chicago Tribune and Suntimes.
Loverhammers are a huge sell out everywhere and their music reaches out to the audience as a soulful experience. There concerts in New York, L.A Viper Room, Roxy and whiskey A Go Go have been a memorable experience for their fans.
They have been continuously touring. Midwest tour, Nickelback / Jerry Cantrell are some of the names.
The band has been associated with national acts like Cold, Interpol, Puddle of Mudd, Alien Ant Farm, New Found Glory, American Hi – Fi, Lifehouse and Hed PE to name a few. Lovehammer has also been sent an invitation to perform MOB fest, CMJ and Atlantic music conference as well as at SXSW.

Lovehammers concerts continue to make a dent in the music industry. Their bold sounds thrill was recently displayed in their 21st city national tour. Here they opened for Cake and Gomez. The bands DVD live / Raw debut was at No.1 in the Billboard Musical DVD chart. This was in March 2003.
