Macbeth was formed in the year 1995 by the drummer Fabrizio. The band's present lineup includes Morena, Andreas, Fabrizio, Max, and Sem. The band released their demo tape 'Nocturnal Embrace' in 1997. Aptly titled, the demo tape contained some peculiarly gothic songs with powerful and cadenced sounds. Nocturnal Embrace's success got them started and they signed up with Dragonheart Records. The band's debut album 'Romantic Tragedy's Crescendo' was released in 1998. Their debut album found a lot of popularity and won them accolades and rave reviews. Following this they did some touring as a supporting band and added thousands of new fans to their already big fan-base in Italy. Year 2001 saw the release of the band's second album titled 'Vanitas.' Characterized by a more aggressive approach and still retaining the romantic element, the album received a spectacular response. The album firmly established the band on the Gothic Metal scene. After this there was another gap when the band did some touring. Ending a long wait, the band released their third album 'Malae Artes' in March 2005. Fans were hungry for the band's music and they eagerly lapped up the album. The band once again and very strongly proved their unique talent for Goth Metal. Cadenced songs like 'Lifelong Hope,' 'Henceforth,' 'Downhearted,' and 'Miss Murderess' have powerful rhythm with excellent vocals by Andreas and Morena.
