Born on May 19, 1962 to Jerry and Nola Witt, Marcos (Jonathan Mark Witt Holder) got his early education at the American School of Durango and later joined the University of Juarez for studying classical music. Thereafter, he enrolled at the Institute Bible College in San Antonio for pursuing theological studies. Marcos wedded Miriam Lee in 1986. Marcos started his company CanZion Producciones in 1987 and released his first album ‘Cancion a Dios.' The album proved to be a big success and brought him accolades from all directions. After some more successful works, Marcos came out with his even more melodious work ‘Enciende Una Luz' in 1999. The album received whopping response. Encouraged by the great response rave reviews, Marcos released his brilliant work ‘Sana Nuestra Tierra' (Heal our Land) in 2001. The album brought Marcos his first Latin Grammy. He released another smash hit album ‘Vencio' in 2001. The success of this work was followed by another popular album ‘Dios De Pactos' (2003). Year 2003 also saw Marcos record his unforgettable album ‘Recordando Otra vez' (Remembering Once Again). The album proved to be a big hit and Marcos bagged his second Latin Grammy for it. His albums ‘Lo Mejor De Marcos Witt III' (2004), ‘Antologia' (2004), and ‘Tiempo De Navidad' (2004) were also well received. By this time, after a string of hits, Marcos fan-following had snowballed into a massive mass. Millions were crazy for his music. His album ‘Dios es Bueno' also got stupendous response and brought him his third Latin Grammy. His latest album ‘Alegria' has also recorded high sales.
