Michael Peterson
Michael made a dramatic TV appearance on "Walker/Texas Ranger" show and went on steadily to win the fan-voted 1999 Male Star or Tomorrow Award. 2001 saw him releasing his album "Modern Man" with Sony records. Though it was the highest debut single of his career, a management rejig at Sony made him to be dropped from the label, along with a bunch of other artists. Whatever happens is for better, and AGR records bought the rights of the stellar "Modern Man" and released the CD in Europe. The album did wonders by lodging 6 singles in top 40, with "No More Looking Over My Shoulder" sitting at # 2 on the German Country charts and topping at # 1 on the Trans-European Hit Predictor Hot Disc" chart.
He also displayed his patriotic fervor by singing the national anthem in the ARMY/NAVY football game in CBS, and by playing for the troops while on a 7-day-11 -country tour through the Middle East. He received raves for his oratorical talents in the August American Legion national convention in Salt Lake city, UT. He also was instrumental in mobilizing tens of thousands of dollars for various charities including American Cancer and Canadian Cancer societies.
One of his other talents was writing and he contributed to the nationally released books A Country Christmas" (Random House) and "Between The Lines And Spaces". He also released the CD "Down on the Farm" which received widespread acclamation including leading country music journalists. At the end of 2006, this multi-talented artist was busy wrapping up his new album –"In Black".

When one sings "Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie", he would be normally be damned and chastised. On the contrary, based on such a song, Michael Peterson become popular and hogged the limelight as a successful songwriter and singer. Not that he was professing those, but it was just the beginning line of the hit single that shot him to fame in 1997. Michael was born in Tucson, Arizona in 1959 and grew up in Richland, Washington. As a youngster, he developed the love towards music, especially with the inspiration of his grandmother.
Scholarship took Michael to Pacific Lutheran University, where he pursued football and music. He did not delve into the music industry immediately but suspended his aspirations for a while in exchange for a psychology degree and the pursuit of his interests in working with the school children through a "Who Cares?" assembly program. Twelve good years rolled by before he could snatch the first music deal of his career, for pop superstar - Deniece Williams. He was signed up as a co-writer for her multi-Grammy winning album "So Glad I Know". In 1986, he caught the Sparrow records to record a bunch of Christian songs and charted 3 songs on the CCM national music charts. He went through a long lull for about a decade but only to find gold later in 1997, with Warner/Reprise records. "Drink, Swear, Steal & Lie", climbed to spot 3 in Billboard charts and he was rightly named the Top New Artist of 1997 by Billboard and Radio & Records. He was also identified as Country Weekly's Male Newcomer and Gavin's Artist to Watch in 1998.
