Luge Tickets The Luge is the sport that has one or two people riding down a half-pipe on a supine sled. The sport has been an Olympic sport since 1964 and the sport will be held at the Whistler Sliding Centre at the 2010 Winter Games at Vancouver. Luge tickets will be available for the category for the events beginning February 13, 2010. The sport comes from the same town as the skeleton and bobsled, St. Moritz, Switzerland.  The Luge became an organized sport in 1883 in Switzerland, a little more than a decade after the sport developed in a winter resort town. Thee decades later an international body was founded in Dresden, Germany. By 1964, the Luge became an official Olympic sport. The riders sit down on the sled with there face up and apply pressure with their shoulders or calves to slightly alter the direction.
