Speed Skating Tickets Speed Skating has been a sport, official or not, since he first time a couple of people put on a rudimentary pair of skates and raced each other to the finish line. The sport as we know it started with the founding of an international organization in 1892. Since then the sport has joined the ranks of the Winter Olympics in 1924. The 2010 Winter Games will have Speed Skating tickets for the competition at Richmond Olympic Oval. The sport will have 12 events, six for men and six for women. Both men and women will compete in the 500 m, 1,000 m, and 1,500 in individual events and a team pursuit. Women will compete in two long races that go 3,000 m and 5,000 m while the men's long races go 5,000 m and 10,000 m. The competition will begin on February 13, 2010 at 2:20 p.m. when the men race in the 5,000 m event. The next day the women will compete in their first long event, the 3,000 m. The events shift from endurance to speed the next day when the men race in the 500 m. The women follow suit and on February 16, 2010 they race in their own 500 m race.

 Next, the men race on February 17, 2010 in the 1,000 m. The next day the women will take to the ice rink and try and come out on top in the 1,000 m. Similarly, the 1,500 m events follow. The men race on the 9th and the women on the 10th. Speed skating continues two days later on February 12 when the men are put to the test to race in the 10,000 m. The women take on their longest distance, the 5,000 m on the very next day. The team events take place on the 15th and 16th day of competition on the February 26th and 27th. The men and women begin the heats for the team pursuit on the 26th and finish the speed skating events with the team pursuit finals on the 27th.
