This could be one of the MLB's more dangerous offenses, but the team only has the 17th most runs scored despite having the ninth best batting average and seventh best slugging percentage. Milwaukee has three particular Brewers to fear at the plate. Left fielder Ryan Braun is hitting .308 with a .401 OBP, 12 homeruns, and 8 stolen bases. Second baseman Rickie Weeks is hitting .301 with a .371 OBP, 7 homeruns, and 5 stolen bases. First baseman Prince Fielder is hitting .280 with a .369 OBP and 9 homeruns. The rest of the regular hitters have left something to be desired, but help may be on the way with catcher Jonathan Lucroy and his .326 batting average and .378 OBP since returning from the DL.
The pitching has been disappointing. It began with an injury to Zach Greinke during a basketball game to start the season. Shaun Marcum has started the season with a very commendable six quality starts in nine games, 2.54 ERA, and 1.06 WHIP. Chris Narveson and Randy Wolf have been alright with few quality starts and ERA around 4.00. If Greinke can work his way back to his Cy Young winning self, then this could be a decent rotation. So far he has had two disasters and a decent start in his return.
The Milwaukee Brewers have a long way to go before they can consider themselves contenders, but they have some dangerous bats and a couple starters worth mentioning, so all is not lost at Miller Park.

Brewers tickets were there for a franchise with that wavered between the bottom of the division and the middle through the 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century. In that past few seasons the baseball team has shown signs of making the jump from a good team to a division winner. The roster is stacked with offense thanks to right fielder Ryan Braun and first baseman Prince Fielder.
