The band was formed by David Usher who was the lead singer of the band. The other members of the band were Mark Makoway (guitars), Jeff Pearce (bass), Kevin Young (keyboards) and Paul Wilcox (drums).
The band released their first independent cassette in 1993. The cassette was a huge success and EMI took it upon them to release their first full-length studio CD titled "Silver" in 1994. The album was a quadruple platinum bestseller, thus proving that the band was there to stay. The album sold 400,000 copies in Canada and the singles "Push", "Silver" and "Believe Me" topped the charts and made a place in the hearts of the audiences.
In continuation with their streak of success the band released their third album in 1996 titled "Creature". The album was very well received by critics and audiences alike and went on to become a multi-platinum seller .The album comprised of some memorable hit songs like "Leave it Alone", "Resurrection" and "Gasoline".
