Monster Magnet has been rocking since 1989, playing metal since before grunge took hold of the nation. It was after grunge's popularity had faded that Monster Magnet would find an audience ready to listen. Since then, the group has been able to sell Monster Magnet tickets for concert and move albums with a devoted audience.

Any band this old without Rolling Stones style success is bound to go through many lineup changes. The group that began with Dave Wyndorf as the lead singer, John McBain as the lead guitarist, Tim Cronin as the bass guitarist, and Tom Diello as the drummer expanded with another guitarist and currently rocks with Wyndorf as the lead singer, Ed Mundell as the lead guitarist, Phil Caivano as the rhythm guitarist, Jim Baglino as the bass guitarist, and Bob Pantella as the drummer. The Monster Magnet of 2010 is basically a completely new unit backing Wyndorf, playing the same metal/hard rock that has energized audiences for over two decades.
