On December 18,1979, Hip-Hop artist Murphy Lee, was born Tohri Murphy Lee Harper to a single mother in St.Louis, Missouri. Since his humble beginnings, Murphy lee aka Murph-Derrt and Da Skool Boy has had tremendous success with ticket and record sales.
Before Lee achieved stardom or acclaim on his own name, his reputation was spreading nationwide thanks to his standout verses in Nelly's "Country grammar" album. Lee is in the extremely catchy "ride with me" and "batter up". In the early 1990's, Lee and his hometown friends Nelly, Ali, Slo'Down, Kyjuan and City Spud performed as "St.Lunatics". Scoring their local hit in 1996 "Gimmie what you got", Universal Records signed them in 1996. Nelly went solo and scored his 2000 9x platinum album, "Country grammar". St. Lunatics released their debut "Free City" in 2001. As a kid growing up in St. Louis, Lee spent most of his time attending to studies, riding his bike or playing basketball. His attention turned to attention with the formation of St. Lunatics. Apparently, Lee's brother Kyjuan is best friends with Nelly.
