New Mexican Disaster Squad
Eventually, the band fled Orlando and started an extensive tour covering many lands and leaving their marks of good music on peoples' mind. The band in a very literal sense become globe- trotters, leaving their trail all over the United states and over eleven countries. The audiences were just left yearning for more and more with their hardcore guitar tabs and cutting but captivating vocals. The band holds its reputation for seriousness towards its works and compositions.
In 1998, The New Mexican Disaster Squad released their debut album 'Acid Washed Face' on Hey Rudy records, the following year saw 'Weapons and Equipment of Counter Terrorism'. These albums certainly turned those voices mute who regarded punk as some sort of juvenile attitude. As the rhythm and vocals scream out loud the delinquent tendencies of the so called mature society, which has bombs for bread and blood for butter. After a gap they released an eponymous album in 2003 under A-F records, and the next year they released 'Abrasive Repulsive Disorder'. In 2004 itself they also released Western Addiction Split with No Idea Records which has some great music to offer. The album is commendable as it draws the spade almost on all tracks for their ferocious energy superbly mixed with a sound technical brilliance. Their love for being furious and ruthlessly abrasive was qualitatively presented in Don't Believe released in 2006 on Jade Tree Records. This full length album has fourteen songs and they astonishingly are only twenty- eight minutes long but still in such compactness it offers one a vast musical life experience. The album goes on a rampage turning each and every stone from personal and political territory. However, 'Peace with Nothing' released this year works on a more calmer level and displays their potency to spin evolutionary hardcore rock that can even put the likes of Black Flag for a toss. The album is a sure shot of an undiluted natural high of their driving guitars and distinct melodic style.
The New Mexican Disaster Squad is certainly a band which is in here for a real long time. They might not be the chart-toppers but hey they will get there, so wouldn't it be a great idea to follow their small steps to success. Being an audience to appreciate the dedicated lads should not be that big a thing to ask. Tick Tick tick and time's running out, so the tickets will too.
