Eli Manning was hit 20 times in the NFC Championship game. He also dropped back to pass 58 times, so that might be an issue. Not many football teams are able to win it all if the quarterback is forced to through the football 75 percent of the time. Meanwhile, the Giants need their defensive line to hit Brady, preferably 20 times or even better, 75 percent of the time. Of course, perhaps the biggest concern of all is the linebackers' ability to cover tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez.

Michael Strahan became the first of a new generation of stellar defensive players for the Giants in the 21st century. Eli Manning would take up the helm at quarterback and Justin Tuck would soon take over for Strahan, just in time for a Super Bowl win in 2007.
