Dallas must continue to play tough hockey at home and on the road to ensure they have a spot in the 2011 playoffs. The Stars have had successes all around as a team. They are led offensively by Brad Richards. Throughout the season Richards has been involved in almost 50 percent of the offense. He also ranks sixth in the NHL for scoring. Richards is clearly the MVP for the Stars and the future of the organization. Goalie Kari Lehtonen has played big for the Stars. While his stats are not overly impressive many feel that he is in the race for the Stars most valuable player. Lehtonen has kept the Stars in all the games when the rest of the team comes out playing flat. What's different about the Stars this season? First of all last season they were unable to put together a winning streak longer than two games. This year out of 41 games they have had four winning streaks of at least three games. This includes a winning streak of six games and another one of four. Another factor the Stars have in their advantage is their ability to score points in bunches. In 41 games they have already scored 52 points. The last time they did that was during the 2005-06 season. The Dallas Stars are off to another promising season and look as if they will make another deep run in to the 2011 playoffs. If they continue to keep of the high level of play doing this should not be a challenge. Fans are anxious to get into American Airlines Center and pull in their home team.
