They lead the league in goals per game at 3.1 and were first overall on the power play, scoring 24.4% of the time they were on the man advantage. The Canucks were led by Henrik and Daniel Sedin, both of whom played in all 82 regular season games. Daniel led the team with 104 points overall including 41 goals and 63 assists. Henrik ranked second behind his brother with 94 points with 19 goals and 75 assists. Center Ryan Kessler tied Daniel for the team lead with 41 goals and amassed 75 points. As strong as the Vancouver Canucks were offensively, they were just as strong defensively. Goalie Roberto Luongo and the Canucks allowed a measly 2.2 goals per game and ranked third in the NHL in shorthanded situations as they killed 85.4% of their opponent's power play opportunities. Luongo went 38-15-7 with a goal-against average of 2.11. He also notched four shutout victories and had a save percentage of 92.8% Vancouver Canucks fans can rest assured the Sedin brothers and Kessler are sure bets to be back in Cancuck's uniforms next season. Luongo is right behind them but maybe only because he is due $5.33 million dollars each of the next two seasons and not many teams can absorb a salary cap hit like that. The Canucks however have eight unrestricted free agents including four defensemen and forward Raffi Torres. Deemed a finesse team, the Canucks ran into physical teams that just took it out of them. If they want to return to the finals next year, their best bet to add toughness may be by trading young goalie Cory Schneider for some physicality. What makes Burrows so effective is his ability to manage the dirty work. He fights for the puck and engages in battle at the front of the net to free up space for his team mates. On the other hand, the Canucks are expecting better play from Raffi Torres. In the last eight games he has only recorded one assist, and accumulated a negative three rating, and is now spending time on the fourth line. The team is hoping that he will find new life in his game soon. With Alex Edler out due to injury, rookie Lee Sweat must step up and help fulfill his roll. In his debut game against Nashville he scored the game winner with his first shot in the NHL. The Vancouver Canucks are certainly on the right path to the 2011 Stanley Cup.
