Nick Jonas has had an amazing career as part of the Jonas Brothers. He has toured the world, been the impetus for the sale of millions of concert tickets, and even become a television star on the Disney program JONAS, built around the success of the band. Before he became part of the family band, he was performing on Broadway and trying to establish a solo career. Now, after his success with his brothers, Nick has finally been able to strike out on his own.
The solo project is a side project, something that has become very common for band members of supremely popular groups. Nick Jonas and the Administration is that group for Nick. He has joined drummer Michael Bland, keyboardist Tommy Barbarella, bass guitarist (and producer) John Fields, and guitarist David Ryan Harris in the studios to record an entire album in eight days and that record is set to release the a debut album in 2010. The album Who I Am will hit the shelves on February 2 through Hollywood Records. The title song has already been released in 2009 in anticipation for the debut album.
The band has been announced since October 28, 2009 when the news was released on Jonas Brothers MySpace page and the group played live at the Grammy Nomination Concert in December 2009. Nick Jonas is a rather young man, so he had a role model when putting this group together and that role model is Bruce Springsteen. That influence is obvious with a simple look at the cover for the album.
