Pleasure P's solo debut album, The Introduction of Marcus Cooper, was released on June 9, 2009, with Pleasure P explaining that the reason he named it that is because Pretty Ricky introduced fans to Pleasure P, but now Pleasure P is going to introduce them to Marcus Cooper, who left his as lead singer of the group last year. His career received an additional boost when the performer was featured in the second single from Flo Rida's album R.O.O.T.S., gaining a large amount of publicity from his presence on its guest list.
