Ann Coulter causing trouble again!

Love her or hate her, Ann Coulter returned to the Today show, in New York, this morning amidst all the rumors that she had been banned for life. Helping fuel the rumors were the facts that she was cancelled on Tuesdays show where she was replaced by Tony Blair, who was giving a live report from Israel about what is going on in Gaza. That news story got her bumped and she took it personally. I have to say Matt Lauer called her on it because really what is more important, her and her new book, or the conflict in Israel? But she couldn’t see that. She fought him on the point but in the end she said she was glad to be there and to have not been banned. She is one tough lady and her mission was to promote her book which she did.
Another fighting point was when Matt asked her about her saying that, “The mainstream media hates conservatives.” She laughed it off and said that basically she did agree with that, although she didn’t say that, her version was a much more colorful inappropriate version. Like I said she was there to promote her book and all this controversy is really bringing her name and new book out there. First off let’s start with the title of her book, “Guilty: Liberal “Victims” and Their Assault on America “. She refers to President – Elect Obama as “B. Hussein Obama” throughout her book. Come on, is that not stirring the pot or what? Her response is, hey that’s his name, I am not doing anything wrong.
Another point she was pretty adamant about this morning, was her feelings that single mothers are glamorized and portrayed as victims when really she says that “they are the cause of most societal problems.” Honestly, can you even believe this woman??? She says “We could wipe out chronic poverty in America tomorrow if women could just mange to get married before having children and to stay married after having children”. If that doesn’t cause controversy I don’t know what will. Those are some fighting words. And it seemed like Matt was one who wanted to start fighting her on it, considering his current situation and going through a divorce. Matt told her that her words were venomous and causing outrage rather than getting people to think about what she was saying. Coulter was sticking by her words and told Matt that her statements were not outrageous but fact. URGH! I am surprised he didn’t punch her out. Now that would have been good morning television. I hope people do not buy her book or give her the time of day. They should ban her from the Today Show and all other shows as well.
