A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

Some fun TV and Hollywood news to share today. To begin with the women of “Sex and the City” have all committed to be in the sequel. No dates have been set and there isn’t even a script but after making $150 million from the first one everyone is ready to do it again. IT’s being reported that all the women will be getting big raises too.

Then super big ER finale news…George Clooney will appear in the finale and is actually set to do his scenes this week. The series is set to conclude on April 2, although ABC has made some general inquires about the possibility (although slim) that maybe they would be interested in picking up the series. Who knows at this point, but it has been fun to see all these old familiar faces. Anthony Edwards has been on and Noah Wyle and Eriq La Salle also have plans to return. It will be sad to see this Thursday night staple leave the air even if it is time for them to go.
Here is some news I am sure you will be happy to know…Katy Perry tells TV Guide, that she has “taken a vow of celibacy this year.” The only person she will be kissing is her cat. Don’t feel bad for her though because maybe she will be able to kiss a Grammy too.  Her song, “I Kissed a Girl”, got her nominated for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance”.
Ok and once last thing to make you smile. The Ty, Inc. Company that makes Beanie Babies has added two new ones to their “TyGirlz Collection”, their new “Sweet Sasha” Beanie Baby and “Marvelous Malia”. Here is the funny part...a spokeswoman for the company says that the new dolls “are not named after the first daughters”. Wow, what a huge coincidence! She says the names were picked because they are just”beautiful names”. They don’t look like the girls and nothing on them refers to the first daughters, but I don’t know kind of makes me think of the first daughters, so why don’t they just say they are??? Anyway the story made me roll my eyes and I just wanted to share the feeling.
