Britney Spears had a surprise guest at her New York City concert last night. Madonna showed up along with several body guards and her manager. Us magazine is reporting that Madonna did not want to arrive unnoticed. In fact on her way up to one of the VIP suites she took the main stair well so that people would indeed see her instead of taking a more private route which is definitely available for the VIP’s. Britney commented on her web site that she was “thrilled to have her there” but US magazine eludes to maybe Madge’s intentions were not all about Britney.  The magazine is saying that not only did Madonna leave before the end of the encore but as she left she had tons of fans around her screaming and going crazy and that during that time Madonna had “a smirk on her face”. Interesting, I wonder what Madonna was thinking and what her true intentions were.

Oh and are you ready for yet another crazy Joaquin Phoenix story. Again it will make you wonder real or set up? The newly minted “hip hop artist” took the stage Wednesday night at a Miami night club at around 2 a.m. after making the audience wait four hours to finally see him. Joaquin walks out in his new hip hop look which as one Florida fan remarks makes him look like a “fancy caveman”. I couldn’t have said it better myself. So with that scraggly beard, a disheveled looking suit, and cigarette in hand, he finally appeared on stage.  As he started to rap to the music he could barely be heard but was more nodding along with the music. Then when basically you thought it couldn’t get any worse someone in the audience heckled him and Phoenix jumped into the crowd. Phoenix’s security got to him and dragged him away. Coincidently (or not) Casey Affleck, who has been in charge of filming Joaquin’s journey into hip hop, caught the whole thing on tape. So was the whole thing staged, heckler and all? No one knows for sure but again his antics are so bizarre it is just hard to believe his behaviors are real. I guess we will just have to keep watching and being amused.
 
I have some break up news to report. Although this one will not be a big surprise it is sad news. Bristol Palin, the daughter of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and her boyfriend Levi Johnston have called it quits. I feel like I just wrote about their impending marriage plans. NO details have been released but Levi does plan to be involved in his new baby’s life. Their baby, Tripp, was born on December 27th .
