Raekwon released his third album four years later on December 16, 2003. The Lex Diamond Story fell short on two counts, critical and commercial, failing to reach any RIAA certification and failing to draw any rave reviews. His two previous efforts cracked the top ten on the U.S. and reached number two on the U.S. R&B charts. Raekwon was upset, citing a lack of promotion offered by his label (Universal Records) as the chief reason for the album's failings. A busy man, he eventually had a window to redeem himself. On September 8, 2009 Ice H20 and EMI Records released Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…Part II. Raekwon returned to the themes of his debut album, rhyming about cocaine trafficking, general criminal activity, and a man's rise threw the drug-fueled underworld. The album has been a major bounce back so far for Raekwon and he looks to continue his success with a tour that will take him through the Midwest and East Coast.
