The follow up album 'Dare Iz a Darkside', released in 1994, spawned the hit single 'Rockafella'. With the release of his third album Muddy Waters' in 1996, Redman cemented his reputation as one of the most consistent rappers of the 1990s. Redman's solo career sailed smoothly through the remainder of the decade with each of his albums selling at least half a million copies. Redman, right from the beginning, remained true to his musical style and hardly deviated from his unique braggadocious wit and hard hitting beats. Apart from releasing albums as a solo artist, Redman was also a member of the group Def Squad' with whom he released the 1998 album.
Redman also had forged a close partnership with label mate Method Man, with whom he released the 1999 album Blackout!'. Redman appeared in Christina Aguilera's 2002 single 'Dirrty' and also on a popular remix of Pink's number Get This Party Started.' Redman had done quite a lot of production work for himself as well as for many of his crew members and even for Shaquille O'Neal on his album 'Shaq-Fu: Da Return', under his birth name Reggie Noble. In the beginning of 2007, Redman came out with Red Gone Wild', which is scheduled to be followed by 'Muddy Waters 2' in November 2007.
Apart from singing and producing albums, Redman has also dabbled in movies. Redman has co-starred with Method Man in the 2001 stoner comedy film 'How High'. Redman recently announced that he and Method Man are working on How High 2, a sequel to the first movie. Redman also had a substantial role in the horror film 'Seed of Chucky'. Redman-Method Man duo also had their own television sitcom, Method & Red, which was aired on Fox during the 2004 season. Redman also appeared on the video game 'True Crime: New York City', in which he provides his own voice in a mini-game where he tries to get away from New York during a riot.
