Riot is a long standing New York based heavy metal band that was formed in 1976. The founding members of the band was songwriter/guitarist Mark Reale who later recruited drummer Peter Bitelli, bassist Jimmy lommi, guitarist La. Kouvaris, and vocalist Guy Speranza. The band debuted in 1977 with Rock City and in the meantime guitarist Rick Venture replaced Kouvaris. Lommi and Bitelli were the next to exit after the group returned with Narita in 1979. This came as a blessing in disguise as the group then got the services of the gifted bassist Kip Leming and the remarkable drummer Sandy Slavin, who essentially completed the classic Riot line-up. The followed these albums with supporting gigs for AC/DC and Molly Hatchet, before releasing Fire Down Under their 1981, path breaking album which many considered the epitome of the band's creative streak.

But late in 1986 he revived Riot enlisting the services of drummer Bobby Jarzombek, vocalist Tony Moore, and bassist Don VanStavem. The new lineup came out with Thundersteel in 1988 following it up two year later by The Privilege of Power in 1990. They have release numerous other albums including many tours across America Europe and far off Japan.The group is also widely regarded for their live acts and now is your opportunity to see whether they deserve all the acclaim them have earned.
