The reality television show Rock Star has come up with its second season RockStar Supernova. Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke, host the show, featuring 15 contestants competing to become the lead vocalist for a newly-formed super group featuring Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, and former Gun N Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. As the shows name suggest, the new group will be called Supernova.
The contestants will be performing with the house band consisting of Paul Mirkovich, Jim McGorman, Rafael Moreira, Nate Morton and Sasha Krivtsov.
The show exclusively began on line on the RockStar website on MSN on, July 3rd with an internet exclusive week episode. While it was premiered on July 5th of 2006 on CBS in United States and Globe in Canada. This time again hosted by Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke. The shoe will have three episodes every week, In The Mension episode, Performance episode and the Elimination episode.  During the first season, the behind-the-scene episodes were televised in the U.S, but this season, instead, they were available on line at the official website sponsored by MSN, to subscribers of Verizin, and through the RockStar tab on Window Live Messenger. But these ?reality episodes ? were on air in Canada on Globe.
Supernova will record their first album after the show's run, along with the first single to release in September 2006. Supernova's very first performance will be on New Year's Eve at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas. Neveda, which will be followed by a world tour in early 2007.
