The city of Sault Ste. Marie is located in the state of Ontario, Canada. Sault Ste Marie lies on the St. Marys River and the residents of this city are known as Saulites. According to the 2006 Census, the population of the city stands at 74,948, making it the third most populous city in Northern Ontario.
