Simple Plan And Jesse Mccartney
Simple Plan The five first became a team when Comeau and Bouvier founded the band Reset when they were 13 years old. The band got a modest response from all over Canada and also toured the country. This culiminated in a debut album in 1997.Two years later, Comeau let his studies take a back seat in order for he, Stinco and Lefebvre to start making music. Bouvier and Comeau reconnected at a Sugar Ray show in late 1999 and it wasn't long until Bouvier was back with Comeau and the rest of his motley crew. Desrosiers, who replaced Bouvier in Reset, was asked to join Comeau and his pals, and Simple Plan was born.
They instantly landed dates with the annual Vans Warped Tour in 2001 and with Toronto's Snow Jam. Simple Plan was becoming famous for its spunky and energetic punk sound. In 2002, Simple Plan landed in the studio to make a record and ended up with a fun and fiery "No Pad, No Helmets...Just Balls," which was released in spring 2003 on Lava. The year 2003 saw the band winning the MuchMusic Video Award for People's Choice "Favorite Canadian Group". Their Bob Rock-produced second album "Still Not Getting Any…" followed the next year and included hits like "Crazy" and "Welcome to my Life."
Jesse McCartney Jesse McCartney was a child performer on Broadway and landing an acting gig on All My Children before even joining his first boy band, a feat that came at the age of 12. Teen poppers Dream Street scored a platinum album with their self-titled debut before spinning off the careers of Chris Trousdale and McCartney himself, who started contributing music to children's films like Cinderella Story and Stuck in the Suburbs. In 2004, he finished up work on his first solo album, "Beautiful Soul" which was also the title track. The album peaked at number 15 on the Billboard 200.
