Even they reached the Champions League semi-finals. The subsequent year, they were once more League Champions, with a Premiership record of 29 wins. They signed a £10 million a year shirt sponsorship deal with Samsung in 2005. This was the biggest shirt sponsorship in English football history of that time. On April 29, 2006, Chelsea achieved their second successive Premiership title beating Manchester United 3-0. On May 30th striker Andriy Shevchenko was signed for AC Milan. He was followed by German captain Ballck. Along with Didier Drogba, Cole and Frank Lampard these two will form the most formidable combination in the football world.
