That's right. Steel Magnolia tickets will be available for a number of concert dates in 2011, from headlining gigs to music festival appearances to performances as the opening act. And Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Johns, the only two official members of the group (I'm sure they will have a traveling band along), are glad to have those chances to perform before thousands of fans.
The duo first met as love interests. Three years later, with the relationship still going strong, they formed a band. Why? Well they formed Steel Magnolia just in time to compete in Can You Duet, a television country talent contest that would last two seasons on CMT. Steel Magnolia won the singing contest in its last season. The win gave them a chance to perform before a captive audience comprised of millions and a record contract with Big Machine Records, the music label launched by former DreamWorks Records executive Scott Borchetta.
