Katy Perry is definitely riding high this summer. Her California Dreams Tour is one of the best selling of the summer. Her album Teenage Dream has gone platinum in the U.S. and sold over five millions copies worldwide. And now she appears poised to join the ranks of Michael Jackson, with five number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100!

Which major concert tickets are available for shows this week? We have that answer here at OnlineSeats. This week Taylor Swift continues her journey across the South, U2 will be nearby, Sade and John Legend will be on tour up north, and Katy Perry will be in the neighborhood.

A crazy concert rider and domestic partner kicked out of the country later and Katy Perry has arrived, embodying both the denotation and connotation of that wonderful term diva. Yes, the weekend began with a buzz in Japan as the first Katy Perry tickets of her brief Asian tour leg were about to be good for a concert in Nagoya at the Zepp Nagoya.

“Star Wars” fans get ready for your very own concert!  For the first time ever “Star Wars” is kicking off a world tour in October. George Lucas is planning to bring the franchise alive in a concert venue featuring a symphony orchestra playing music from all 6 movies. In addition to the music, Anthony Daniels, who plays C3PO, will narrate the production, along with clips that will be shown from all the movies on the largest mega screen ever to go on tour. There will also be an exhibit that includes props from all 6 movies as well, including costumes and some never before seen items.  Tickets go on sale in August and will be a treat for young and old. 
 

I will admit this is not exactly gossip but why not start your morning out with a bit of almost naked David Beckham in his new Emporio Armani Underwear ad? In the photos I have included you can check out the before and after or rather dressed and undressed picture of the guy. I mean really…is that body for real??? You can catch the real thing hanging at the Selfridges department store on Oxford Street in London. You can also catch Beckham and other stars in the new controversial Addidas TV commercial. David, along with Katy Perry and Missy Elliot are in this commercial that people feel is “condoning antisocial behavior”. Some parts are a man inhaling on the nozzle of a leaf blower, painting graffiti, riding a scooter in a crazy manner and someone smashing a light. Adiddas says the ad promoted “social activities and inclusion and that the celebrities’ and ordinary people were celebrating together throughout the ad in a safe, respectful and inspirational way.” You can watch it and judge for yourself. For now the commercial has been cleared to air although it will stay away from children’s programs.

Lance Armstrong is truly the superhero of cycling.  Lance was in a pile up in Spain during a race on Monday and broke his collarbone in several pieces. He is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday where he will have a metal plate inserted to stabilize the bone. He plans to take about 72 hours off to rest and then back to his workouts. Although obviously it will take some time to get back up to speed, Armstrong is planning on participating in the Giro d’Italia race May 9 – May 31. That is the second most important race next to the Tour de France which he is also planning on participating in this July. Armstrong’s longtime manager feels the same and that all this is doable. HE feels Lance is in great shape and if anyone can pull it off and make it happen, it is Lance Armstrong. Right now everyone is optimistic and just hoping the surgery goes well and Lance makes a speedy recovery.

How sweet are the President and First Lady who headed back to Chicago for Valentine’s Day? The two dined at Chicago’s TABLE Fifty – Two where dinner was prepared by Chef, Art Smith. The couple dined on crispy catfish and pistachio chicken, and they may have even snuck in a piece of gooey crunchy pecan pie. It seems that in order to stay in touch with friends and keep the family grounded the First Family plans to fly home about every 6 weeks to Chicago. Hmmm… I wonder who pays for those trips home on Air Force One. Don’t get me wrong, I am happy for the love birds to have a romantic dinner together in their home town, and I love the Obama’s, I was just curious.
