We all know that Celine Dion simply exudes class. Anyone who has had the pleasure of finding Celine Dion tickets for her new show can attest that it is a well-produced set and not a gaudy celebration of nostalgia. Anyone who has purchased her new scent can boast a demure scent that combines sweet highlights with undertones that take you to some mystical forest in Canada. Anyone who has ever met her has had the pleasure of meeting a celebrity who is thankful for the opportunities her fans have given her.
more...Modern day Las Vegas has become well acquainted and associated with Cirque du Soleil. With seven shows in productions and no allegiance to any one hotel and resort chain, the Canadian entertainment troupe may be the most popular collective attraction on the Strip off the casino floors. However, one is remiss to forget the individual who has created two of those seven shows, one of his own, and one of the best selling residencies in the history of the city. That man is Franco Dragone.
more...Terry Fator may be enjoying a five-year, $100-million deal at the Mirage in Las Vegas, but he is hardly resting on those many, many laurels. This past month he has been headlining country fair stages. These stages are far from the free venues in the back of the park he used to play, but they show a willingness to travel and to make the best out of his situation.

Cirque du Soleil Viva Elvis is scheduled to take an extended hiatus in January to accommodate a reboot for the struggling production.
more...Cirque du Soleil has already changed the face of entertainment for Las Vegas and the image of just what should be under the big top. Now, it has taken to the digital universe and is offering a free Ka App for the iPad.

His fans certainly know this about the man who once opined that he may live in laid-back Los Angeles but he is an energetic New Yorker at heart. That fiery nature has not cooled since he took up residency selling Barry Manilow tickets at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
more...David Copperfield may have been the subject of parody on Arrested Development, but the man who is known for his flair for the dramatic has shown he is not without a sense of humor. Recently he paired with Funny or Die to “threaten” Harry Potter and JK Rowling with an “Accio Cease and Desist” sent via certified owl.

No, this time she is back in the news with a new scent, Signature, which is said to have been inspired by her music. So, does this mean instead of searching for Celine Dion tickets to her Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace her fans can just buy her new scent?

The program has been doing this since it debuted in 2006 with Regis Philbin and pre-hamburger-episode David Hasselhoff, where-are-they-now candidate Brandy, and snide British personality Piers Morgan as the judges. That means the program has produced five headlining Las Vegas and has kept the Hoff and now Nick Cannon gainfully employed for the better part of a decade. Of these five previous winners (this season is not yet finished), only one has been able to remain a Las Vegas headlining act: Terry Fator.
more...Way back at the end of June a man in a red jacket walked across the Thames River in London. This was a stunt meant to promote his new BBC television show Dynamo: Magician Impossible. The stunt did not quite have the effect he (Dynamo) hoped though. The National, an English-language publication based in the Middle East, questioned whether or not the age of the illusionist, or at least the televised illusionist, is over.
more...No, Cirque’s Ka is not embarking on a journey in microeconomics. They are not rearranging their management style, though that would certainly be an interesting business model. Cirque du Soleil Ka tickets are still being sold for two shows a day, Tuesday through Saturday, at the Cirque du Soleil Theater in the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
more...Cirque du Soleil: The Beatles – Love has now been featured at the Love Theatre in the Mirage Las Vegas for over five years. The incredible homage to the greatest rock and roll band of all time has been witnessed by more than 4 million people clutching Cirque du Soleil The Bealtes Love tickets close to their hearts over the course of more than 2,400 shows. The production has not only survived, but thrived despite the recession, becoming an annual pilgrimage for some and an once-in-a-lifetime trip worth sacrifice for many others.
more...Sometimes I think Las Vegas needs another nickname, perhaps Cirque du Nevada, Soleil City, or the American Cirque du Soleil Consulate. Seriously, there are currently seven Cirque productions in residence in Vegas and they play no favorites with regards to casino and resort companies. These shows are works of contemporary live action decadence and they are a natural fit with the over-the-top motif that is Sin City. These shows have even helped push the limit on the Vegas strip, at least certainly Cirque du Soleil “O” has (which is quite a daunting task).
more...A Las Vegas residency requires performers to essentially embark on the tours they undertook at the beginning of their career, playing consecutive nights with some time off between the next set of gigs. However, one of the advantages is that during a residency there is much less travel, so there is far less jet, or bus, lag and the days off are far more restful and tranquil.
more...Jerry Seinfeld is headed to Las Vegas in late August for back-to-back nights at Caesars Palace at the Colosseum Las Vegas. Caesars Palace has been able to attract perhaps the biggest headlining acts in Sin City, so it should be no surprise that one of the most recognizable voices in comedy would choose this casino, hotel, and resort to perform.
more...Only a city known as Sin City could be the unofficial American home of Cirque du Soleil. The Montreal-based contemporary circus troupe has seven shows in production on the Las Vegas strip, the most in any city across the vast continental United States. The incredibly creative company is such a force on the Strip that no single hotel or hotel conglomerate has a monopoly on Crique du Soleil tickets!
more...Celine Dion is truly a class act and it is refreshing to state that on her 30th anniversary in show business. Last night, she took to the stage to perform for the hundreds who came to Las Vegas with Celine Dion tickets to see her sing at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Unfortunately, performing meant she had to miss the Daytime Emmy Awards, held at the Las Vegas Hilton. This would not be such an issue, but this particular year is the year the show honored Oprah in her final year on television.
more...We are on the cusp of the release of Britney Spear’s seventh studio album and her next comeback attempt and fans are frothing at the mouth for anything Britney-related as they sit (or dance) in anticipation. Thus the stage was set Friday night for a homage at Rain nightclub at the Palms featuring Britney’s best video moments. Then, surprise, Britney pops out of the one of the speakers and she puts on a 45 minute show, singing her fan favorites (“3”, “Slave 4 U”, and “Gimmee More”). So why the blog entry when MTV has covered (orchestrated) the event and every pop website on the Internet has a post?

George Lucas is planning to bring the franchise alive in a concert venue featuring a symphony orchestra playing music from all 6 movies. In addition to the music, Anthony Daniels, who plays C3PO, will narrate the production, along with clips that will be shown from all the movies on the largest mega screen ever to go on tour. There will also be an exhibit that includes props from all 6 movies as well, including costumes and some never before seen items. Tickets go on sale in August and will be a treat for young and old.
This was finally the big New Kids on the Block Carnival cruise weekend. There were about 2,100 obsessed fans on board to see the boys (who should really be called boys to men – but too bad that is already taken). The women ranged from in their 20’s and 30’s and were all about the boys, they wore their New Kids t-shirts, buttons, and some even kissed those life size card board cutouts of their favorite kid. The guys were going to perform twice on board in order for everyone to have a chance to see them. They were also around to sign autographs and hang with the fans. It seems like this was a big hit for the cruise line who along with many other companies have taken a hit with the struggling economy. Who will be the next group to sign on to “get on board”? Already Jon Mayer, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bare Naked Ladies have also done similar type events. The boys get started with their actual concert schedule on June 4th in Atlanta.

From Hef’s main squeeze, to “Dancing with the Stars”, her next project is going to be to star in “PEEPSHOW” the sexy new burlesque show in Las Vegas. The former “Girl Next Door” star will be replacing Kelly Monaco, when her 3 month contract is up in June. “Dancing with the Stars” seems to be a bit of a stepping stone or prerequisite for the show, since Madison will be the third star from Dancing to join the cast. Monaco was the winner from season 1 and Melanie Brown who is also currently starring in Peepshow was a runner up from season 5. Although the show does feature topless performers the stars themselves are remaining covered up. “Peepshow” is at Planet Hollywood and although it has just been a month is doing well.
more...Big honors for the country duo Brooks and Dunn along with Dierks Bentley who were honored in Sydney Australia for promoting their country music abroad. They were honored by the Country Music Association and Bentley actually won the International Artist Achievement Award. So it was a pretty big achievement for all of them. In the past some winners have included Keith Urban, Shania Twain, Dwight Yokam, the Dixie Chicks and Trisha Yearwood. Congratulations guys!
more...Shocking news rocks Las Vegas with the news of the sudden death of funny man Danny Gans. He performed a great set on Wednesday and seemed to be the picture of health, but then was found dead of still unknown causes on Friday morning. He was just 52 and a self proclaimed health nut. He was one of the all time great impressionist doing people like Tony Bennett and Michael Jackson. Although nothing seemed wrong with Gans, in an odd twist, Gans did change his final routine on Wednesday night. He usually ended with a medley “Apollo” however instead he did “The Curtain Falls” by Bobby Darin. A coincidence or did he know or feel something was wrong? It will be interesting to see what the autopsy says but regardless of the results he was a talented funny man who will be missed.
more...You have got to love Coldplay…listen to what the band is doing for their fans during these hard times. They just announced that for every fan that attends there “Vida la Vida” summer concert on the North America leg of their tour, they will receive a free live album from the band. How awesome is that? And for those unable to attend the concert they can download 9 songs from “LeftRightLeftRightLeft” at the bands official Coldplay website. The band said in a statement that “Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans – the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen.

Some of the A – listers at the party included the Kutchers (Ashton and Demi), Jessica Alba and hubby Cash Warren, Gwyneth Paltrow and hubby Chris Martin from Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Evan Mendes, Adam Sandler, Zach Braff, Gwen Stefani and Cher. The party was at mom, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell’s home and it was a night of dancing and drinking and fun. If you were wondering, Owen Wilson was not at the party…hmmm…are the couple on again or off again? Speaking of parties, Andy Roddick and his model girlfriend tied the knot this weekend with 250 of their closest friends sharing in the event. The couple had an outdoor wedding ceremony and then dinner at the country club on Friday. Elton John entertained the guests while they dined. Saturday the couple and their friends partied at Stubb’s which specializes in BBQ. The guests were requested to wear “denim only” and rocked the night away with the Spazmatics.
more...It was a very close race but in the end Ashton Kutcher beat out CNN in the race to 1 million Twitter followers. It was so close that only 30 minutes separated the two. Congratulations Ashton that is a pretty amazing feat. Now I wouldn’t want to be the one to say that perhaps Ashton is getting a big head but here is what he had to say about the win. “This is David versus Goliath. This just shows how people want to get information. It is about us. It means that one man can have a voice as loud as a media network.” Well the good news is that not only did Twitter and Ashton break the first 1 million follower goal; Ashton is sticking to his word and will be donating 10,000 mosquito nettings for beds for World Malaria Day. Next up on Twitter is Oprah. She actually started tweeting on Friday. When Oprah speaks people listen…literally. In her first 15 minutes she had 76,000 followers and within her first hour over 125,000 followers. How long until she passes 1 million?
more...Well I am happy to say that Pink and her ex Carey Hart seem to be working on putting their marriage back together. The couple was married back in January 2006 but split up two year later. They have been spending time together and are trying to work on their marriage. The two are a very busy pair, Pink is currently on tour and Hart, who is a motocross racer, is also involved in several business ventures. He is keeping himself busy in Las Vegas with his Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co. that he has in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino as well as the Wasted Space concert venue and bar, which is also there and he co owns with the Madden brothers, Benji and Joel. So hopefully there will be a happy ending for this couple. Bruce Springsteen on the other hand is defending his 18 year marriage to Patti Scialfa. A woman, Ann C. Kelly, has made various allegations that she had an affair with Bruce on several occasions throughout the years. These allegations have been around since 2006 and have come up again since the woman is in the middle of a divorce. Bruce denies the affair and says he and his wife have “been together for 18 years and the best 18 years of my life.” Good for you Bruce, keep it that way! And while I am on the subject of marriage I will switch right into baby mode and share the happy news for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. They have announced they she is pregnant and expecting their first baby in the fall. The couple has been married for 6 years already. That is going to be one cute baby!
more...Tonight is Country music’s big night and all the stars are headed to Las Vegas for the 44th Academy of Country Music Awards. The show will air live tonight on CBS at 8:00 so tune in to see all the big winners (and losers.) IT should be a great show with scheduled performances by Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Toby Keith and Taylor Swift, and as I mentioned earlier this week Miley Cyrus will be on stage singing “The Climb” from her new Hannah Montana movie. Reba McEntire will be hosting the event for her 11th time. There is big competition tonight for the Entertainer of the Year award. Carrie Underwood is the sole woman up against 4 men in this category. She is competing against George Strait, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. I am personally hoping she can do it and beat those 4 men...good luck Carrie; you have had an amazing year!
