The idea of genres in music is becoming increasingly archaic, or at least the idea of keeping the stars from different genres separate is becoming absurd. As the latest example of this soon to be principle is Taylor Swift proves.

Taylor Swift has decided to take on a new frontier, the e-card industry. American Greetings issued a press release, informing consumers that the Grammy-winning country singer has released a series of 13 e-cards, available at its own page.

Taylor Swift made her glorious return to the stage this past week, playing the Bell Centre in Montreal on July 14th and the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on back to back nights July 15th and 16th. Those thousands of Canadian country fans were relieved when they heard their Taylor Swift tickets would not be rescheduled as four concerts in the Southern states were.

This has got to be the funnest couple ever…. Kevin and Jill Heinz had their entire wedding party literally dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown’s, “Forever”. It all started out as any other wedding and now the video that shows them dancing has been viewed by over 8 million people, and they only got married back in June. Out of nowhere the video has become this huge phenomenon when all the groom did was post the video online for their friends and family to see.  Then the morning shows both “GMA” and “The Today Show” got involved and this beautiful event turned ugly. Originally the wedding couple was flown to New York and put up in a fancy hotel by ABC so that they could appear on “Good Morning America”. ABC was excited for the couple to appear on the show until they heard they had also agreed to do a pre-taped interview for the “Today Show”, that would have appeared before the live segment on “GMA”. Oh the “GMA” people were not happy when they found out. In addition to that they also found out the NBC was flying the entire weeding party out to recreate the whole dance as we. ABC had the couple’s hotel and flights cancelled and figured they would let NBC pay for them instead. The groom was shocked how ABC handled the situation. He said, “We’ve been kicked out of our room. New York is cut throat. That’s what we have learned. Regardless of all the drama, the video is hysterical, check it out here.

What is the obsession with Kendra Wilkinson from “The Girls Next Door”? She has been on 2 reality TV shows one she is currently starring in and now she has a memoir that is going to be published. I mean she is 24 years old, how much can she have to say?  The book which is scheduled to be released next summer is said to talk about her childhood, as well as her time in the Playboy mansion and the time she spent with Hugh Hefner. She will talk about her new life with Hank Baskett and the impending birth of her new baby. She is definitely the “it girl” of the moment. She also made a statement the other day about how she is no longer going to be watching “Jon and Kate Plus 8” anymore. She liked it better in the old days when they were just a happy regular family and not all Hollywood and drama like now. She says, “I feel bad for the kids.” Ironically she says that “she would never allow her new baby to appear on her hit E! show ‘Kendra’. That will all be private.” Funny on that same day she signed on for another season of her show with 12 new episodes. We will see how long that sentiment lasts.

Conan O’Brien welcomed his first cast from a Broadway musical to perform on his show last night. The cast from “Hair”, all 50 members flew from New York to L.A. to perform on their day off. The performance was choreographed special just for Conan’s shows and new set. They looked like they were having a great time and if you haven’t seen the show, just watching the cast made you want to run out and do so.  There is something about all the peace and love of the 60’s that is just magical, not to mention those clothes. “Hair” actually won a Tony Award this year for Best Revival of a Musical. You just never know where life will take you. Former broken hearted bachelorette, Melissa Rycroft has danced her way to a new job on ABC. Melissa will be a special contributor on “Good Morning America”. Melissa will appear on GMA 8 times throughout the summer “bringing lighthearted, uplifting  and fun stories to GMA”. That sounds just perfect for the girl next door who won America’s hearts even if she couldn’t win Jason Mesnick’s from “The Bachelor”.

What is it about Beyonce and her song, “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on it)” and video that the famous boy celebrities just can’t stop spoofing it? First it was Justin Timberlake on SNL, and now Joe Jonas shows his fully uni-tard clad figure along with a pair if stilettos, spoofing the song. The Jonas Brothers are getting the fans all hyped up for the release of their newest album, which drops June 16th, “Lines Vines and Trying Times”. The video is pretty cute, starting out with a very shy Joe hiding behind his brother but then look out, he goes for it. Beyonce just can’t help getting everyone going. Here comes another new reality TV show and this one is being spear headed by Jessica Simpson. After the ordeal she went through personally when she wore those high waited unflattering jeans and the “body bullying” she experienced she has come up with the idea for her new show. At the moment the title is “The Price of Beauty. The plan is that she would travel around the world in order to find out “what people find beautiful and why”. She would take a friend and they would head out on this great road trip and find the answers to these questions. They would also delve into taking a look at some of the outrageous things women go through and do to themselves to look beautiful. Jessica would be taking a very active role in the show and feels that this is a very important topic to learn more about and make people more aware. At this time that is about all the details that are out there.
 

A new “American Idol” has been crowned and it was a shocker… Kris Allen won it all with almost 100 million votes being cast, an all time record for the show. Kris Allen, the 23 year old home town boy from Arkansas was just a surprised to hear he beat out favorite Adam Lambert who had been predicted to win. Kris started out slow and just continued to get stronger and stronger each week and the fans loved that. And holey moley, did you check out bikini girl, Katrina Darrell and judge Kara DioGuardi – what a duo the two made. Not only did the two sing, they also showed off those bodies. Katrina showed it off the whole time but Judge #4 did it quick. Let’s just say she is definitely ready for bathing suit season. It was a fun night with great performances and duets. Adam got down with Kiss and sang an awesome medley, while Kris and Keith Urban had a blast singing “Kiss A Girl”.  I have to say although I felt bad for Adam it was nice to actually be surprised. And after seeing what other Idol non winners have been up to I am sure he will be just fine and very successful.

Happy news for Sarah Jessica Parker and husband Matthew Broderick – the couple is expecting twin girls this summer via a surrogate. The “Sex and the City” star has a 6 year old son James and the entire family is very excited! After hearing some gossip last year about Matthew cheating with a 21 year old I am very happy to hear some good news about one of my favorite actresses. Sarah Jessica is 44 and Matthew is 47 and it is said that the surrogate is a 26 year old divorcee. Other good news about a couple that has been dealing with bad news and bad publicity about an alleged affair are Bruce Springsteen and wife Patti Scailfa. The 2 however seem very happy and Patti joined her husband on stage Monday night during an event honoring Tom Hanks. The Boss called up his wife and then in front of everyone gave her a big kiss. Everyone cheered. Not only were people happy to see the couple together but that Patti was doing just fine after having fallen off her horse earlier in the month.

I have not talked about her for weeks but this cannot go without mention. It is absurd and shocking and I will try to just tell you the story without my soap box. Nadya Suleman is contemplating a new pet…possibly a small PIG!!! Really…does she really need one more mouth do feed or excuse me…but more poop to clean up??? She says that if she did indeed decide on a pig is would live outside and wear a diaper. A pig????  Another possibility is a teacup Pomeranian or some other little dog. Like taking care of 8 newborns plus 6 other children is not enough…but the kids have been asking for a pet for awhile she says.  Have you heard the saying…Just Say NO!!!! Nadya has been busy looking for someone to give her a reality show as well as trying to trademark the name, Octo – mom. Nuff said!
 

Well I am happy to say that Pink and her ex Carey Hart seem to be working on putting their marriage back together. The couple was married back in January 2006 but split up two year later. They have been spending time together and are trying to work on their marriage. The two are a very busy pair, Pink is currently on tour and Hart, who is a motocross racer, is also involved in several business ventures. He is keeping himself busy in Las Vegas with his Hart & Huntington Tattoo Co. that he has in the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino as well as the Wasted Space concert venue and bar, which is also there and he co owns with the Madden brothers, Benji and Joel. So hopefully there will be a happy ending for this couple. Bruce Springsteen on the other hand is defending his 18 year marriage to Patti Scialfa.  A woman, Ann C. Kelly, has made various allegations that she had an affair with Bruce on several occasions throughout the years. These allegations have been around since 2006 and have come up again since the woman is in the middle of a divorce. Bruce denies the affair and says he and his wife have “been together for 18 years and the best 18 years of my life.”  Good for you Bruce, keep it that way! And while I am on the subject of marriage I will switch right into baby mode and share the happy news for Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. They have announced they she is pregnant and expecting their first baby in the fall. The couple has been married for 6 years already. That is going to be one cute baby!

Tonight is Country music’s big night and all the stars are headed to Las Vegas for the 44th Academy of Country Music Awards. The show will air live tonight on CBS at 8:00 so tune in to see all the big winners (and losers.) IT should be a great show with scheduled performances by Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Toby Keith and Taylor Swift, and as I mentioned earlier this week Miley Cyrus will be on stage singing “The Climb” from her new Hannah Montana movie. Reba McEntire will be hosting the event for her 11th time.  There is big competition tonight for the Entertainer of the Year award. Carrie Underwood is the sole woman up against 4 men in this category. She is competing against George Strait, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban.  I am personally hoping she can do it and beat those 4 men...good luck Carrie; you have had an amazing year!
