Nickelback is set to tour in 2012 on the Here and Now Tour. We know that on OnlineSeats, for we certainly have Nickelback tickets for the next batch of concerts. However, they have recently come under heavy criticism from a Grammy Award winner. It had been five years since the world has had the pleasure of enjoying the Red Hot Chili Peppers on vinyl or in person. Then on August 26, 2011, the RHCP released their 10th album, I’m With You. The album is the result of working with Rick Rubin, a little bit of book learnin’ for Flea, and the all too human experience of growing up.

It is a cliché, but sometimes all a retiree wants is the freedom to play golf all day. Well, when you are a music icon like George Strait, you no longer want to play golf all day, since he could do that after his string of platinum albums in the 1980s. Rather, you want to own your golf course. Strait and a business partner recently re-opened the Tapatio Springs Golf Course in San Marcos, Texas. She has entered Britney Spears territory, attempting to clarify to the world that she is no longer the same young actress from “Wizards of Waverly Place”. No she is a fully legal young woman who demands the right to dress and acts as she desires without having to look to her fans’ parents for approval before they purchase Selena Gomez tickets.

We are on the cusp of the release of Britney Spear’s seventh studio album and her next comeback attempt and fans are frothing at the mouth for anything Britney-related as they sit (or dance) in anticipation. Thus the stage was set Friday night for a homage at Rain nightclub at the Palms featuring Britney’s best video moments. Then, surprise, Britney pops out of the one of the speakers and she puts on a 45 minute show, singing her fan favorites (“3”, “Slave 4 U”, and “Gimmee More”). So why the blog entry when MTV has covered (orchestrated) the event and every pop website on the Internet has a post?

I was just reading a review of the recent extremely orchestrated introspective documentary “Britney: For the Record” after catching it on Sunday and was happy to know I was not the only one who came away with the same impression. There were many typically pivotal moments, including the juxtaposition of the I-do-not-know-why-people-complain-about-being-a-celebrity bit that told the audience that she is not spoiled with the I-am-going-to-complain-errr-explain-why-it-is-so-hard-to-be-a-celebrity bit that confirmed she is.
