The 'All-American Rejects' has long been renowned as a popular rock band of U.S.A. The band originated from Stillwater, a famous city of Oklahoma in 2001, by Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler when the duo were mere high school students. It was the pleasant summer of 2001, when the 'All-American Rejects' released its first EP, 'Same Girl, New Songs' and commenced to tour the American Midwest. As the EP became highly successful, the band was offered a lucrative contract by the 'Doghouse Records', a famous recording company of the U.S.A. From this recording company, the band released a number of well-received albums in the following years.
In 2002, Mike Kennerty joined the band as a guitarist and a second vocalist and Chris Gaylor joined as the drummer and percussionist. In the same year, the band released its first self-titled international debut album, which turned out as a super hit. The band's famous single, 'Swing, Swing' was also included in this album. On 12th July, 2005, the band released 'Move Along', another album which included the famous single, 'Dirty Little Secret'. The music video of this album also featured images from collective art project, 'Post Secret'. This one also became a massive hit and its copies ran out of stocks. It was referred by the critics that the music video version of 'Move Along' was a tribute to their deceased touring keyboardist Timothy Jordan II. Even, in 2006, the band also received the 'MTV Video Music Awards' for this album. To meet the demands of their fans, the band performed 'Move Along' at a live show in the VMAs on 31st August, 2006, where they received huge accolades from the audience.
In August 2006, the band released its third single, 'It Ends Tonight'. It also became successful to draw crowds. Even, the video for 'It Ends Tonight' debuted in the UK and secured the tenth rank on the 'VH1 Top 20 Countdown' on 28th August, 2006. In this year, the band also conducted successful tours around the U.S. with renowned rock bands like 'Fall Out Boy', 'Hawthorne Heights', 'From First to Last', 'The Hush Sound' and 'October Fall' etc. In each sphere, the band pacified its audience and received huge adulation from them.
After that, the 'All-American Rejects' released a small EP, 'The Bite Back EP', which again brought huge success to the band. Presently, it is available only on the popular music service, 'i Tunes'.
In 2007, 'All-American Rejects' collaborated with Danny Elfman, a noted American rock musician to create the song, 'The Future Has Arrived' for the Disney animated film, 'Meet the Robinsons'. Recently, the band has finished a headlining tour called, 'Tournado' with some famous rock and hip hop bands like 'Motion City Soundtrack', 'The Starting Line', 'The Format', 'Gym Class Heroes' and 'Boys Like Girls' etc. Here the band has again achieved huge success because of its outstanding performance.
