The Appleseed Cast
The Appleseed Cast, one of the renowned American indie rock bands, originated from Lawrence of Kansas. Presently, the band consists of four members. Christopher Crisci is the lead singer and the guitarist, Aaron Pillar is another guitarist, Marc Young is the bassist and Aaron Coker is the sole drummer of this band.

Artist Biography - The Appleseed Cast
|
 In 1997, the band was established under the name 'December's Tragic Drive' in Southern California while Crisci and Pillar joined bassist Jason Wickersheim and drummer Louie Ruiz. At the beginning, the band performed only in the bars and small theatre halls. In 1998, the band changed its name to 'The Appleseed Cast' and signed an accord with 'Deep Elm Records' of North Carolina and released its debut album, 'The End Of The Ring Wars'. This album received considerable approval from the audience. But, it was also criticized for sticking too closely to the styles of Braid and Sunny Day Real Estate, another famous Emo bands of America. In 1999, after relocating to Lawrence, the band recruited new drummer Josh "Cobra" Baruth and entered the 'Red House' studio at Eudora in Kansas with producer Ed Rose, who would go on to produce the band's next four records. 'Mare Vitalis' was the band's second full-length album, recorded from the 'Red House' studio in 1999. In this album, the band showed a development from the dynamics-heavy rock of 'The End of The Ring Wars'. As this album became a massive hit, its copies sold millions.
In 2001, The Appleseed Cast released 'Low Level Owl', Vol- 1 and Vol- 2. As both of them turned out as super hits, the copies ran out of stocks. In 2002, the band released the 'Lost Songs', which was a collection of unfinished songs, recorded shortly after the release of 'The End of The Ring Wars'. After that, the band signed a contract with the New York based indie label, 'Tiger Style Records' in 2003 and released 'Two Conversations' shortly afterward. This album received mixed reviews from the audience and critics. In the following years, the band has released a number of hit albums. Their names are given below :-
