The Birthday Massacre is the Canadian synthrock band working out of Toronto that has come a long way from their college days. Currently the group stars Chibi as the lead singer; Rainbow as the rhythm guitarist, synthesizer, and backing vocals; Michael Falcone as the lead guitarist and synthesizer; Rhim as the drummer for live shows; Owen as the keyboardist and keytar for live shows, and O.E. as the bassist and backup singer during live performances. Meeting in college in London, Ontario, Rainbow, M. Falcore, Chibi, and Aslan formed a synthrock quartet in 1999. The band, originally named Imagica, went through a few band lineup changes before finally changing its name to the Birthday Massacre after a move to Toronto in 2002. This band began working independently, releasing a limited edition CD in 2002. Nothing and Nowhere did not lead to a record deal, but it kept the band going through even more lineup alterations.
