The Bravery
The Bravery are from New York, where Sam Endicott, John Conway, Anthony Burulcich, Michael Zakarin, and Mike Hindert (the bands member) met.
The Bravery's sounds can best described as a synthesis indie rock and electronica. The band found its roots in the friendship between forntman Endicott and keyboardist Conway that dated back to the late'90s when they were classmates at Vasser College in Poughkeepsie, NY.
The Bravery moved to New York City in early 2000 and found their guitarist, Zakarin, though an advertisement in the newspaper. Zakarin brought the bassist, Hindert, with him and Burulcich, the drummer, joined the band after moving back to his Long Island home following the death of his sister.
The band began, then known as The Bravery, began playing local clubs and marketing themselves over the Internet. They eventually signed with Island Def Jam and Long Records in 2004 after selling out headlined shows and having their three MP3's played on three major radio stations. One of the downloads was the hit 'An Honest Mistake.'
The Bravery moved to London in late 2004 after signing and toured the British isle, playing headlining shows and opening for bands like the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, and Razorlight.
The Bravery tickets have been hard to find since they hit the scene in 2003, so find your tickets at Online Seats, the Internet's best ticker broker option.
