The Devil Wears Prada is a seeming contradiction. A Christian metalcore that took the name of a movie and book that would include anything but this type of music with a singer who screams his lyrics over a wall of sound from his furious guitarists. The band consists of Mike Hranica as the lead singer, Chris Rubey as the lead guitarist, Jeremy DePoyster as the rhythm guitarist, Andy Trick as the bassist, Daniel Williams as a drummer, and James Baney as the keyboardist.
The Devil Wears Prada formed back in 2005 in Dayton, Ohio, somehow deriving the group's name from the very book. They recorded a demo in 2005, Patterns of a Horizon. The band re-recorded the tracks for a debut album, which was released in 2006 through Rise Records. The album did not chart of earn any certification, but it did guarantee them a future.
