Compagnie Tchetche
Compagnie Tchetche is the young and growing company of Ivory Coast. In Bete language, Techetche means eagle which symbolically represents "the power", honor, glory and the domination. This strong symbol of eagle provides vigor to this new company full of ambitions. The company sees a bright future and its ambitions accomplished in the field of contemporary choreographic creation. The company has won UNESCO award at African market of Arts and Spectacles in Abidjan in 1999. The same year company won "Discover RFI Living Show" award in Paris.
Company TCHETCHE was a result of a common passion of two young people for dance. Tchetche was created on June the 1st, 1997 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast by Guillaume Bridji Lebri, artistic manager and Beatrice Kombe, choreographer. The young company comprises four talented females trained from different companies which they quited to form this new platform, Tchetche. These active and interdependent personalities incarnate the African urban youth with the target of discoveries and changes. Western area has been very rich in dances. It contains a variety of dances including dance of the waders of Gouessesso and Danane, temate of Facobly, the Gouah dance.
The manager of the company, Jeety Bridji Lebri was born on 17 December, 1970 in Abidjan. Bridji started his career in 1990 with the creation of the group Pop Rock'n'roll of the Ivory Coast Glay' Doo which resides in London. In 1995, he left his university studies in between to follow his passion of artistic management with complete devotion. To attain his goal, he joined a training course to Marseilles at the "Mur du son" which was directed by Cati Antonelli. During this course, he participated in Womex (World Music Exposition) 97 in Marseilles. After coming back to Abidjan, Bridji produced this Compagnie Tchetche along with Beatrice Kombé.

The company's choreographer, Béatrice Kombe was born on April 05, 1971 in Côte.d'ivoire. Being the daughter of a well known dancer father, Kombe began with the professional scene in the ballet group of Marahoue at the age of twelve. She participated in the third edition of the MASA with the Lakimado Company in Feb 1997. In June 1997, she joined Tchetche as a choreographer. In 1998, she supported the N'soleh Company who won 1st Prize in the Second African Contemporary Choreographic Creation Meeting in Luanda, Angola. Kombe presented her debut creation "DIMI" which won UNESCO prize in the MASA, 1999. Her second creation, "WITHOUT REFERENCE", bagged second Prize at the Third African Contemporary Choreographic Creation Meetings held in Tananarive, Madagascar in 1999.
A talented dancer, Nina Kipre was born on September 23, 1976 in Bingerville , Ivory Coast. She made a energetic start to her career within Djolem in 1994. She got associated with the Lakimado Company in 1996 with which she won the first Prize of the "francophonie" in Madagascar in 1998. Nina joined Tchetche in 1998.
Another talented and young dancer Nadia Beugre was born on March 5, 1981 in Zikisso in Ivory Coast. She started her career from Dante Theater in 1995. In 1998, she became a part of the Tchetche company.
Born on October 11, 1980, Flavienne Lagon initiated her dancing career within the "Joed Système" in 1994. She is a native of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. While working in Joed Système, she participated in the " Variétoscope " Ivory Coast contest and won second prize in 1997 in her second attempt with the same company. Lagon joined Tchetche in 1998.
