On the whole the play makes a very deep effect on the viewers. Bahr makes a very eloquent transition of characters in the horrifying "suicide bombing" scene. In this scene the character collapses, while the lights fade out and a real recording of the sounds of destruction, crying, frightened yelling in Hebrew is played along in the background. During this part Bahr moves to the cafe tables set up on the stage and puts on some, a combination of hat, jacket, or shirt and also changes her voice and accent for male and female characters. Bahr's play is undeniably political but it is not a polemic. In the play one can see her pro-settler character verging on insanity while the American Christian evangelist character reveals the dangers of pro-Israeli Jewish Americans aligning themselves with this group. In other words, this play is definitively pro-Israeli and liberal in the contemporary American sense.

The play begins and ends with a British newscaster who's been accused of presenting an anti-Israeli picture in her news reports. So after "six months" among Arabs, she heads for Israel to get a brief glance of that side. Her first target is a Latino actress in Israel researching for a film. Adding to its hilarity, the seemingly irresolvable cell phone argument that the newscaster has with her boyfriend at the beginning and at the end of the play provides another parallel. It is actually a subtle suggestion on the clash between Israel and the Arabs, as the conflict is between men and women, permanent and irresolvable.

The play will make you laugh and cry in many such quick successions, back and forth. Each time the "bomb" happens Bahr takes a different character, and soon you will find yourself recovering from tears with just enough time to really get into the next character's world. This play presents things differently. The play shows people in a Tel Aviv cafe, where no two people see things alike. While the only thing common is that the characters have plans for later, later that day, later in life, just generally for the future. Not Israel-specific plans but just plans to go on being human. Then boom the bomb happens. Well, That's the tragedy.
