La Turista is a revival of the play written by Sam Shepard in 1966. This is what press material talks about the synopsis of the play, "La Turista, is at heart, theater of the absurd. He was told by the American Woman , assumed as Motherland, that how she too defied her father by spitting and was stretched out of the family. It was followed by the reappearance of American Man who was dressed and ready to fight. His uniform recognized the world over as the image of America as that of a cowboy. The cowboy is murdered by the ministrations of the irrational native witch doctors.

The part II of the play will make us feel in US. The American Man has suffered from the sleeping sickness and doesn't want to stay awake. The Woman (US) Wants her to be cured and fine so that he could go to Mexico (Vietnam) for a vacation, (the undeclared war). She calls a Old South Doctor, Johnson who comes with his son, Humphrey. All the time the son keeps talking about his father that how intelligent and right he is and how frowned he might be if his prescription is not followed. Finally the play is over with the high screams of the young American in defiance and panic and screaming back by Doctor "Do as I say! You must do as I say!" Each part of the play ends with music " When Johnny Comes Marching Home!". Though the first part seems not to be very exciting but the superb acting and the desire to see whether the second part would be able to elucidate the first part tended to keep most of the audience in the theater. But the audience remained metagrobolized even by the end.
