That leaves her disturbed and it continues to linger on her mind, even when she has sent away the missionaries. Sweeny tells that had the missionaries had asked her whether she can feel that God loved her, it would have been easy to answer. This question stays with her and she begin her years of questing. The story comes to conclusion with Sweeney embracing what she believes a view of the nature of existence and the universe and throughout the way there will be struggles with the Old Testament and New Testament God and also with Jesus, a meditation to the Himalayas, seeking the enlightenment of the Buddha, a search into the progresses through a host of modern writers and lots of quarrellings with her Catholic family as she finds out that she is heading towards atheism. Most of her observations are pointed, funny, respectful and are heavily loaded with insight and wit and intelligence. The play doesn't have any silly things about it. It consists of very sincere and a human desire to search frantically through the beliefs and dogmas and to get a clear understanding of our position in the universe.
