 Patti Murin plays Lysistrata Jones, a transfer student who has begun dating the squad's best basketball player. She discovers the spark notes to the original Lysistrata and takes her inspiration to her fellow cheer squad members. Lissie J, as she is known, hatches the plan and the musical comedy continues with glorious comedy following. Lysistrata Jones premiered in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Theatre Company. There it was entitled Give It Up! It ran from January 15 to February 14, 2010 and found a new home at a gymnasium in Greenwich Village, produced by the Transport Group.
