The original story of Robin Hood originated in England in the medieval times. His character has grown from a simple commoner who happens to be a talented archer and swordsman stealing from the rich and giving back to poor to a wronged warrior of the Crusades stricken with disbelief by the state of Nottingham upon his return. The true origination of this immortal character is not known, but his story, or at least what he represents, a man who feels he must stop a tyrant, has been one that has not ceased to hold some importance throughout the globe. Robin Hood will reach theaters soon enough with Russell Crowe working alongside Ridley Scott for the fourth time. Cate Blanchett will portray Lady Marian, Robin's love interest; Matthew Macfadyen will play the nefarious Sheriff of Nottinghma, and Oscar Isaac will be King John, the younger brother trying to dethrone King Richard while he is abroad. The trailer for Robin Hood already played to rave reviews before Avatar and there is truly a buzz going for Robin Hood tickets in 2010.
