His business starts flourishing again with their help, who loved cocoa beans. As time flies, he finally starts getting old. He felt that he should have an heir to look after his business, and also to look after the Oompa Loompas. He wanted a small child so that he can groom him from childhood onwards. He then comes out with a plan. He announces a contest with five Golden Tickets, which were randomly placed in his confectioneries. These tickets promises lifetime supply of his products to the winner and also a tour. Five children get the tickets and they got a chance to tour the wonderful and amazing factory. But there is a condition, all the children must behave properly during the tour. After some time, one by one four of the children are removed from the tour. Only one children adhered to the rules and his name was Charlie Bucket, Wonka was overjoyed and he reveals his future ideas to Charlie, to which Charlie readily agrees. Later at the end of the play we find that Charlie along with his family moves to live in the factory.
