The one-woman show stars Carrie Fisher talking about what she knows bestÃ¢â‚¬Â¦Carrie Fisher. She covers the dramatic highs and lows of her career, from becoming a sex symbol as Princess Leia (whose breasts were held in place by grappling tape) to suffering through bipolar disorder.

The show began in 2006 at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles theater was a fitting place for the actress to convert her autobiography Wishful Drinking into a one-woman show. In the middle of Hollywood she exposed the ugly truths behind her life and the typical life of a big budget actress. Fisher discusses her struggles with drugs and her personal relationships in a candid affair that balances the tragedy of it all with a sense of humor that has survived throughout the tumultuous life.

Wishful Drinking traveled throughout the country after the extended premiere ran through 2007. Fisher delivered her account of life in the spotlight to countless cities across the nation, describing her personal relationship with a gay man that yielded a child and her dealings with George Lucas and many of Hollywood's A-List stars and directors.
