The Apollo Victoria Theater is a popular West End Theater located on Wilton Road in the city of Westminster. It was inaugurated in the year 1930. It was formerly also known as New Victoria Cinema and New Victoria Theater. The seating capacity of the theater consists of 2,208 seats. Live Nation a live events company is the owner of the Apollo Victoria Theater. Two well-known architects Ernest Wainsley Lewis and William Edward Trent designed the building. The theatre has a 74 feet (22.6 m) by 24 feet (7.3 m) stage. It consists of 10 dressing rooms and two suites for the principals.

Though the Apollo Victoria Theater was initially constructed with the objective of screening cinema and Variety Theater, it has now become a well-known venue for musical theater. On its opening day, the theater showed a film starring George Arlis in Old English, based on a stage play by John Galsworthy. The theater soon grew popular for film performances. Occasionally some big bands also performed at the theater. It was successfully presenting a mixture of ballet, live shows and films but the cinema was closed down in November 1975.

The Theater then reopened but this time for presenting concerts. Shirley Bassey, a famous Welsh singer, sang at the re-opening. At present the Theater is the home of the musical Wicked. Architects Jaques Muir and Partners also did several modifications in the interior of the theater. For instance, 3,500 incandescent lamps that consumed a lot of power were replaced by 88,000 low power LEDs. Some of the recent productions of the Apollo Victoria Theater include The Sound of Music, Camelot, Fiddler on the Roof, Starlight Express by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Richard Stilgoe, Bombay Dreams by AR Rahman and Meera Syal, Saturday Night Fever by The Bee Gees and Nan Knighton, Movin' Out by Twyla Tharp and Billy Joel and Wicked by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman.
