Uihlein Hall Marcus Center For The Performing Arts The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is a performing arts center, as the name suggests, as well as the official home to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, Florentine Opera and Milwaukee Ballet. A lot of First Stage Children's performances as well as other local art activities are performed at the center as well. The center is situated at the corner side of Water Street and State Street in downtown Milwaukee. It is the private property of Milwaukee County.

It was designed in such a way, in order to keep all the norms aside and give it a Brutalist style. A very-famous architect Harry Weese, who was from Chicago, performed this amazing task. The task of construction began in the year 1966. The center was inaugurated in the year 1969 in the form of a well-furnished Performing Arts Center of that era.

The name of the venue was changed in the year 1994 after the Marcus Corporation donated a huge amount of money ($25 million) to the center. This was done in the honor of Ben Marcus, who was the founder of the Marcus Corporation. The Center is equipped with four theaters: Uihlein Hall, Todd Wehr Hall, Vogel Hall and Peck Pavilion. The other venues are: Bradley Pavilion, Green Room, Anello Atrium and Magin Lounge.

Uihlein Hall is basically used for the purpose of performing operas, musicals, meetings (of all kinds), theater productions as well as film screenings. It is geared up with a capacity of 2,305 seats and is the largest of all the venues that are present in the center. Green Room is mainly designed for the purpose of acting as a banquet hall as well as a meeting room.
