Vice Squad
At the time of formation the majority of the members were still in their teens. The band soon came out with their first single ‘Last Rockers' on their own Riot City label. The single was well accepted which led to a licensing deal for the label with EMI. After releasing many EPs, the band finally came out with their debut album ‘No Cause for Concern' in 1981. The follow up album ‘Stand Strong Stand Proud' was also well accepted by their fans. The band was gaining popularity but all was not well with the band members and after releasing a couple of more EPs, the band broke up.
To the delight of thousands of fans, the band reformed in 1998 and came out with their album ‘Get A Life'. In 1999, the band hit the road and toured Europe to woo back their fans. The tour in which the band performed in 8 countries was a huge success, wherever they went the band was welcomed with great love and warmth. The same year the band toured the US too and came out with their album ‘Resurrection'.
In 2000, the band released yet another album ‘Lo Fi Life' especially for their fans in the US and Canada. The same year the band came out with their EP ‘Lavender Hill Mob'. The band after the highly successful ‘Social Chaos' tour, returned to the US and Canada to enthrall their fans there. 2001 was spent touring while 2002 was spent writing materials for their forthcoming album for EMI. In 2003, the band came out with their album ‘Rich and Famous' on EMI, which was well accepted by their fans. After the release of the album, the band embarked on an extensive European tour. The first half of 2004 was spent on the road and towards the fag end of the year, the band started writing for their new album. In 2006, Vice Squad released their album ‘Defiant' which was also accepted with great enthusiasm. In 2007, there was a slight change in the band's line up; drummer Kev Taylor joined Vice Squad. The band continues to tour and enthrall their fans and at the same time have started work on their next album.
