West Fargo Information: Tickets, Venues, Events and More

The city of West Fargo is located in the state of North Dakota, United States. West Fargo lies in the Cass County and according to 2006 census, its population stands at 21,508. However, according to the US Census estimate, the present population of the city is estimated to be a bit over 23,000. The city of West Fargo is regarded by many as a suburb of the city of Fargo.

The city has a rich farming tradition. Every year, the Big Iron Farm Show is hosted here in the Red River Valley Fairgrounds. Although the show had started in the year 1980 in Casselton, North Dakota, it was moved to West Fargo in the year 1981.

Another major tourist attraction in West Fargo is the history museum complex known as the Bonzanville. The museum was found by the 'Cass County Historical Society' and it presently comprises of forty-seven buildings spread over an area of twelve acres. Each building has a specific theme and some of the displays are : a prairie church, a general store, a fire station, an ancient jail and a schoolhouse. Some of the recent buildings that have been added to this resolute museum are an aircraft museum and an automobile museum. There are thousands of artifacts on display in this magnificent museum. There are several anual events held in this museum, such as the event 'Pioneer Days', which is the longest running annual event in the entire Fargo-Moorhead area and the event 'Winter on the Prairie', which is held every holiday season.
