The city of West Hollywood is located in the state of California. The city lies in the Los Angeles County. According to a recent census, the total population of the city is just over 37,000. However, the weekend population of the city ranges between 80,000 and 100,000. During major events, such as Halloween or the 'Gay & Lesbian Pride Parade', the population has gone up to as much as 500,000.

West Hollywood is famous for its gay culture and has a gay population of 41%. The city is popularly known as 'Weho' and 'BoysTown'. The city is bordered by the Hollywood Hills on its north side, the Hollywood District of Los Angeles on its east, the city of Beverly Hills on its west and the Fairfax District of Los Angeles on its southern side. West Hollywood is known to be an extremely pet-friendly region.
